Good progress
Essential All 19 of the 19 personal patch reviews are now done, and all of the outcomes applied. Some work remains on compcache which is now superceeded by zram in staging, but some userspace work is required to switch to it.
other-dx-n-2d-experience-fallback 0 0 0 0 1 100%
Implemented
Essential The blueprint captures the requirements and action items for delivering a smooth transition to the classical 2D Gnome 2.x Desktop (aka 2D Experience) when the system HW doesn't support Unity. The blueprint discusses when (requirements / conditions) and how the transition should happen. See UDS notes at the end of the whiteboard or in the related gobby document on gobby.ubuntu.com
ubuntutheproject-community-n-improving-the-sponsorship-queue 0 0 0 0 1 100%
Implemented
Essential The sponsorship queue, and the delay in getting items reviewed, is a significant problem in encouraging others to participate in Ubuntu development. This session is to flesh out a six-month plan of improvements to improve and reduce the time in which contributions are reviewed.
packageselection-desktop-n-bringing-desktop-and-netbook-image-closer 0 0 0 0 4 100%
Implemented
Essential I have the feeling that maintaining an UNE and a Desktop image is a lot of duplicated efforts (ISO testing, seeds maintenance) without a lot of gain. Indeed, the set of differences are really small and both are installable in parrallel. The user can choose the session on login which switch to a mode or another. In addition to that, we should note that the Desktop and UNE image are really close package-wise (just some settings and some application selection differs). This situation even brings some drawbacks like people not really making the difference and don't know if they should install ubuntu netbook or ubuntu desktop on their computer. This discussion aims at seeing what we can imagine to file this gap.

High Discussion of general X / mesa / libdrm plans for Natty. General decisions to make: * What release of X to target? * What release of mesa to target? * What release of -intel, -ati, -nouveau to target? * How do we decide when to install nouveau 3D by default? Natty-specifics queries: * What to do about r300c / r300g mesa DRI drivers * Will we need to do anything about r600c / r600g?
