The statistics were gathered from the Launchpad Ubuntu Bugs page. You can view the raw data as a text file.

Below is an explanation of the terms:

• Open: All unresolved issues in Launchpad that need to be verified and fixed
• New: All issues that have been reported but haven't been yet verified to be a real issue, as opposed to misunderstanding or error on the bug reporter's part
